Fouxi – les fleurs de Fouxi

Release February 2009

Rue Daru in Montpellier, south of France: a street crammed with bars from which Arabian music fills the streets and shops, out of which the merchants vocally proclaim their goods. It was here in the mid 90s that Fouxi discovered her love for French music. And that is how it could have happened – or maybe someway else. “French fits perfectly to my music. That is all.” Says the young Munich artist and learned actress. "As if the melancholic Triphop of Bristol meets a certain french scene like Benjamin Biolay or Mathieu Boogaerts in a funny coloured univers." is how the French movie director Christophe Perie describes her music. Airy yet not vain; filled with depths, but without the melodrama; Chanson sweetness, devoid of those sleepy bedroom acoustics. It’s just plain Fouxi!
